Pink Lattice Walls

Clairebella Wallpaper

It’s no secret that I love bright cheery colors. Our cottage compound here at Marsh Rabbit Run is filled with the happiest shades of pink – hot and soft subdued shades, green – crisp apple and spring, blues – vivid aquas and lovely periwinkles, and yellows – pale and peachy.

I don’t think I’ve ever loved a home more than our bungalow style cottage. Without question, it’s all because of the decor. I say this not because I’m a decorator, yet that I love the way it is decorated. Our home comprises all of our favorite things. Fortunately for me, my darling husband, Mr. Dasch-ing, is perfectly at home amidst all this color and panache.

So with the new year, I decided it was time to soiree into the world of wallpaper and add another color pop to our cozy home. In small spaces it’s good to have as much airiness as possible. So I chose the small hall that peeks through the French doors into our living room and entree to our home.  Here’s the before…

Preparing for hanging wallpaper

Of course, nothing in this cottage is level, even, square, or normal!  Us included!!  But that’s what makes cottage living unique and lovely.  My wallpaper guy Chris, who was wonderful, assured me no one will ever notice – except me 😉

So on this very cold week, this warming effect was the perfect punch.

Prepping the walls for hot pink lattice wallpaper

Adding this elegant lattice wallpaper from ClaireBella Studio has brought us true joy. Hope you love it as much as we do.  My next dilemma — which accent candles and colors go best…green or blue???

  1. Leslie, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the wallpaper, it is the perfect pop of pink! My candle choice is the green, I think that they look gorgeous against the pink and will be a wonderful accent color. I can’t wait to see the final product.

  2. Hi sweet Leslie!
Why not change our your candles on a whim — dictated only by whatever you fancy on any given day. I think the wallpaper is smashing, and goes with your charming Mr. Dasching!!!
    Dance on,

  3. So fun and cheery! I love it. As for accent colors – both!! I can see blue and white porcelain with green plants and palm/banana leaf fabric on a chair seat or something like that. Pink is a neutral 😉
